Played soft, it resembles a traditional thin crash. But as it opens up, laser-cut perforations across the surface of the cymbal reveal the Zildjian A Custom EFX Crash’s ragged edge. So if you prefer a minimalist setup, the EFX crash will net you a dark wash to an overdriven bark depending on your playing intensity.
