The Flute Audition For Flute

To aid his students, and flutists generally, Wiese has compiled a list of the usual audition excerpts, along with some not normally required. He has culled from a variety of sources, from required repertoire lists to the most important published collections to reports from auditioning students, a volume filled with 196 excerpts that will be useful for any flutists taking auditions in orchestral, opera, or chamber settings. Many of the excerpts also include 2nd or 3rd flute parts. Presented in order alphabetically by composer, the excerpts are also listed in chronological order, spanning 240 years. This comprehensive presentation will help every flutist considering taking auditions.
