It’s Medium-weight, with a small bell, short, steeply angled bow, and a small, flanged lip with oriental style swish-hammering for a drier, harder sound. The response of this cymbal is not as open as the 19″ Chinese, and it doesn’t get carried away as easily. It’s a more direct sounding model, drier and harder, created to give Neil Peart a contrast between his two China cymbals. Handcrafted from pure SABIAN B20 bronze, Paragon cymbals offer subtle looks and powerful, dynamic sounds.
